HOLY $#!*

Okay, I am SHOCKED. In a good way.

Because of my writer's block in Saga I have been working on multiple different projects, including my first actual fanfiction. It's called Code Geass: Lelouch of the Ascension, and it's currently in my Scraps collection.

Here's where things get insane:

While looking into a rumor about a new season of Code Geass (which appears to be sadly false, and is more akin to either a prequel or reboot) I was checking out YouTube videos on the subject when I came across this video. When it hit the 0:05 mark however I nearly had a stroke because of this line: "While continuing to write Saga/Crimson Blade/Dead Man Rising/SABER".

THAT'S MY STORY MATERIAL!!!!!!

Whoever made this video, as of right now I adore you! So far only a select few people have truly shown interest in any of my work (don't get me wrong, I love you all too!), but to have someone go through the effort of actually making & posting a VIDEO PROMOTING IT is...let me put it this way: I'm STILL tingling with exhiliration and joy even now. If you see this journal PLEASE tell me who you are so I can thank you personally!

Truly Devious

Before I get to the main point of this journal I have a major exclamation to make:

I GOT A NEW LAPTOP!!!

Yes, my old Asus gaming laptop has finally passed away due to issues in the frame itself. However, because I had it under warranty I was able to update it to the new model which has improvements on EVERYTHING from the old one.

Now, on to the main piece.

How many of you knew people prior to meeting up on dA?

For me there are three people, two of them good friends.

First, there's :iconsilverwolf55:, who is the younger sister of my older sister's best friend. We are only a year apart, so when we discovered that we were both aspiring writers we began to hang out more.

Second, there's my distant cousin :icondarknightoftroy:. He's far more mature than I am online, and he's much more talented in artistic terms.

Finally, there's :iconh-overlord-ex:. He's a bit of a perv, as well as a MAJOR pain in my ass at times. He's aspiring to be a game critic however, so I'm supporting him by mentioning him here.

Back to School...and other things

Wed Sep 2, 2009, 12:32 AM
Sigh...I've already been going for two days, and it's starting to get to me. Not the classes actually, so far they're alright. The problem lies in actually GETTING there. Whichever genius picked the location for the college I'm attending either doesn't understand the concept of "rush hour" or is a true sadist. An example of this was my earlier attempt to leave campus following my last class. No joke, it took me TEN MINUTES just to back my car out of the spot it was parked in. Ugh...

On another note entirely, I am trying out a new MMO that perked my interest. It's called Champions Online, and although it's a basic superhero MMO there are plenty of unusual perks. Most unique is that you can change certain aspects of your attacks. Blue fire? No problem! Pitch-black lightning? Go ahead! There's also supposed to be the ability to create your own nemesis and beat them down constantly comic-book style, though I have yet to see this occur. If you're interested you can download it from the website (at least I did), and while you're at it you can check out the Champions variant of full-combat Ryan: [link]

Anti-Betrayal Petition

Mon Aug 17, 2009, 12:40 PM
This journal is only for people who play XBox LIVE

Having gotten back on XBL thanks to its new dollar-a-month policy, I've found one MAJOR change: there's a lot more people betraying on multiplayer games like Halo 3. Whether it's because they want what you have or just so they can get that sickening thrill of watching your allies die by your hands, these people ruin the game for everyone else. What's worse, it seems that people who return fire at these betrayers are more likely to get booted BY the betrayer.

So I'm starting a petition to add a new rule to the XBox Code of Conduct: if a player reaches a set amount of betrayals in a game they will be BANNED from playing LIVE games for a set period of time. Furthermore their credit/debit card will be recorded as a betrayer's card, so that these people cannot simply create a new XBL account and continue betraying. This amount should be within a decent range, since some betrayals are either complete accidents or more the fault of another player than the unintentional betrayer.

If you agree with my beliefs put your XBL name in the journal so that I can send the list to Microsoft. This is not a spam or theft attempt, as can be proven by my NOT asking for any personal info. To prove my sincerity I'll put my XBL name first up:

OmegaZXA89

There you go.

Also, if you check my Halo 3 File Share video "I Quit!" you can see the game that inspired this petition.

A Champion's Poll

Thu Jul 23, 2009, 1:17 AM
Trust me, this is a horrible pun.

Since I don't have a subbie (nor do I plan to GET one) I can't make a poll, so I'd like your opinions on which story or stories I should focus on most.

Saga (Stand Alone Version) - The story of a young boy who idolizes superheroes, but when he is offered such power he discovers that being a real-life hero is nothing like the comics. [Space-based science fiction]

Saga (Realm Version) - Similar to Saga SAV, Saga RV also features Ryan in various "crossover" activities, as he assembles an army of fictional heroes to help combat the ever-growing empire he must defeat.

Crimson Blade: A Soldier's Tale - The sorrowful tale of a young boy falsely accused of a Columbine-type assault, who after escaping from prison vows to clear his own name by exposing the true culprit. At the same time, the true murderer is stalking this young man with the desire to see just how far he can push the kid. [Supernatural thriller]

SABER: Pike Squad - An international peace organization similar to the MIB of America or Torchwood of Britain. They maintain both alien refugees and the trade of alien technology. This often causes them to fight either viscious alien species or criminals armed with black-market alien tech. [Police sci-fi]

LegaC: The Next Level - (Unrelated to previous stories) The story of Nicholas Briar, a young man who spends most of his non-work hours playing various MMOs (Massively Multiplayer Online games). His personal favorite is LegaC, a multiple-genre MMO in which he is ranked fourth most powerful. This rank allows him to beta-test a new interface, which literally thrusts him into the game...with no way out.

On a similar note (to LegaC: TNL) I have checked in on a new MMO called Champions Online, which focuses on a superhero setting but has the most sophisticated gaming and character engine I've ever seen. To be honest, with most MMOs I drop out after a few months at best (depending on my interest and my laptop's mood); but if Champions delivers on all of its promises it may well be the store price (which in and of itself is a good sign that they deem it worthy of charging people for). Check it out for yourself: [link]

A fierce warrior up for any challenge, you will never back down from a fight. You are an honorable combatant, but that does not mean you are above deriving pleasure from the defeat of your adversaries.
